Product Design Architect

Okta is seeking a Product Design Architect — the lead designer across Okta's entire platform. This is a principal-level role responsible for establishing cohesive design experiences, defining vision, setting company-wide standards, and influencing strategy at the executive level within Platform R&D. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Drive platform-wide design strategy and discovery efforts aligned with business objectives • Establish design best practices and governance across the R&D organization • Mentor senior and principal designers while raising overall design fluency • Facilitate strategic sessions with leadership and advocate for customer needs • Influence market positioning through design perspective on product and business decisions • Champion AI adoption in design workflows and methodologies • Stay current on competitor products and emerging technologies to drive competitive advantage WHO YOU ARE • 15+ years of experience as a Product Designer, with significant time at senior or principal level • Demonstrated proficiency with AI-powered design tools • Proficiency in Figma, Miro, and similar platforms • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript/React • Enterprise-scale and identity security design experience preferred • AI-first mindset with exceptional executive communication skills
