I'm a UX/Product Designer focused on user-centered design. For the past decade, I've worked at Brightcove, a video technology company, working with great people on projects that benefitted thousands of customers and millions of viewers. I lead exciting design projects for some of their biggest customers, including The Met Opera, Al Jazeera, and Reelz, among others, as well as the core Brightcove product and its design system. In the years prior, I worked for startups, small businesses, and digital agencies in many sectors. I have a traditional design background emphasizing interaction design, heuristics, and visual design. I've always been well suited for problem-solving, answering the 'how' questions, and designing solutions with a bias for action - i.e., thinking by doing. In recent years, I've expanded that foundation to include user-centered design, design systems, design workshop facilitation, UX research, usability testing, UX strategy, and design team management. The 'what' and 'why' questions have become more critical in my career, and my empathy for customers and colleagues has only increased.
